The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

The kayak tour was great. Our guides - Noah and Catalina- were not only knowledgeable, safety forward and professional they were also super fun and energetic! I highly recommend this 90 min tour!!!

Very disappointed, My bucket list is to kayak through the the tunnel at the cove the tour run out of time after the second kayak go through so the tour guide have to move on and we kayak back to the shore

Thank you for your review. Our kayak tours are designed to cater a wide demographic of customers with varying ocean/kayak experience in an always-changing ecosystem which very quickly get dangerous. When our staff or local lifeguards deem the cave too dangerous to enter, we choose to never risk the safety of our guests in exchange for cave access.
