Our guide was Andy and he was great. He was very knowledgeable about the city and the history of it...how it grew and developed. He was also fun! He had brought along adult beverages for the ride, and took us places that no other tour would have gone. He dealt with challenging co-riders tactfully. Our tour went long by about an hour because of the extra time he took with us, and he never complained. He even dropped us at a requested location rather than taking us back to the starting point. I think this is a must-tour when you visit SF!

Recently had the chance to take this tour, it was an easy way to see lots of places in San Francisco. Covered a lot of ground, from Union Square to Fisherman's wharf, lots of good view points to see sights, Golden gate bridge, city views. A couple of disadvantages - the van, while quirky and fun, has horrible windows so the sight lines aren't great, had to twist around to see anything above. But this smaller vehicle allowed the tour company to go to sites where the bigger buses couldn't go, so a bit of a trade off, just wish the windows were better. Also would have appreciated more commentary as we were driving, we seemed to spend a fair bit of time driving silently between neighborhoods, or talking amongst ourselves. When asked, Ross would say, oh, that's a good story...and be able to relate lots of interesting background information. But it would have been nice to have this volunteered as we went. So not a bad tour, but could use a bit of tweaking.

Hi Colleen, Thank you for choosing the time to write a review. We really appreciate all the feedback we get ( Positive and negative). We are a small Mom and Pop type business so we take it at heart what you have to say. On our city tours, we are some of the few companies that will provide as many stops as possible (7 stops) so you get to stretch your legs, take pictures of the city highlights and go the bathroom. Like you said, our buses can go to many places that the larger buses can not go. It is a great trade of i would say:-) We are so sorry that you did not have an excellent experience with Ross.(BTW He is no longer working for us.) Being a tour guide is a lot of hard work. We demand the very best of them and some fit the bill and others do not. We do our very best to train them and make sure they are ready to go on their own. We realized that he was not ready yet to venture on his own. So, we apologize and we would like to make it up to you. Please, in the future, give us a call (415.843.1217) when you are not satisfied or the tour didn't meet up to your expectations.
