My wife and I were only in LA for one day as we began our California road trip. We had walked down to Santa Monica pier and were wondering whether to take a bus tour when we were "mugged" by one of the Surf City guys who made a great pitch and offered a good price for a tour that ticked all the boxes (Movie star homes, Chinese Theatre, Stars & Footprints, Hollywood Sign and Rodeo Drive) plus a lunch stop at Gilmore's Farmers Market. There was only one other couple on the tour, an Australian lady with her basketball loving son. Our driver was the aforementioned Dutch American Frank whose stream of consciousness explanations were frequently hilarious. Frank went out of his way to make the tour work for us, our basketball playing colleague was quite bored looking at houses and when he realised that the Flight Club trainer store was close to the Farmers Market lunch stop, asked if we could make a detour. Frank had no hesitation in agreeing and then added on a tour of the urban art on the way to the Hollywood sign. All in all we were more than 90minutes over the time advertised and Frank even dropped us back at our Hotel! Great stuff!

Frank is Hilarious. My husband and 16 year old daughter accompanied me on this tour and we had a blast. The teen thought 5 hours would be too long, but later said it wasn’t at all. We enjoyed all the stops. Our tour was 12/22/19. Be sure to dress appropriately the open air can be cold, but they had blankets.

Alicia our driver was absolutely amazing. The tour guide info was great. Alicia went above and beyond. It started to rain, so she stopped and bought us all umbrellas. There were blankets provided for the breeze. Everything about the tour was top notch.
