We are a family of road trips. When the children graduate from undergrad we try to go on a road trip to explore some new historical landmark. This one was about New England historical landmarks. Road trips are so much better than flying to just about anywhere. Talking to people, seeing things in the flyover states, while experiencing the unexpected. That's what makes dreams come together. The stops are the way to add color to the places you have always wanted to go. This stop, Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth, Massachusetts. While at the plantation do not miss talking to the inhabitants. Oh my gosh these folks are fine actors. I am still enthralled listening to the video I shot of the man in the hat. [See below.] If I could upload a video of him talking I would. He is fantastic. You can ask him any question and he answers as if you were living in 1609. He talks about storms at sea and how the Mayflower passengers survived. Shipwrecks, the Dutch creating a colony and the decision making that went into it. Negotiating with the Indians. Jamestown's troubles and why they chose to stay in Plimoth versus going to Jamestown. I would do this one again. Even at 64. My nephew, who was the one graduating, is 23. The entire trip was entertaining.

Come back May 21, 2020 for Mayflower's Homecoming Day. The ship will open on May 23rd for the public.

We visited here on a group tour thru Brush Hill Tours, the driver was most excellent regarding his knowledge about the location, the plantation is a very interesting place to visit much history can be gained here as the reenactors stay both in attire and their role as a member of the community, it is great fun watching the expression when they whre you are from and you tell them of someplace in america that they know nothing of in the early 1600's.

Thank you for sharing. I will share your comment with the bus company. They operate a charter tour from Boston every Monday - Wednesday - Friday mid spring to mid fall and there product is listed on Trip Advisor as one of the many options to visit Plimoth Plantation.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! Even an 81 year old adult in our group learned something new! Do not miss the plantation if you’re visiting Plymouth.
