Max performed a 3 hr private tour for our family of 5. He shared the history of New York and made the tour fun. It was a rainy day but it didn't hamper the tour. He provided us great recommendations for the remainder of the day. We would not have ventured on the subway without Max's guidance. He gave us instructions on how to take subway to Brooklyn Bridge for the next morning and recommended a diner for us to eat breakfast at. We will definitely book with Max again to see another part of the city on our next trip.

Hi Alice, it was great to meet you and your family recently. Thanks for booking a private CityRover tour for your very short visit. I'm glad we got to explore NYC for a bit, despite the rainy weather. You guys were great company, and I hope we can do Part II on your next visit.

Max is an exceptional tour guide. He educated and entertained us from the first moment of our three hour tour, through snow & cold wind, and finished in a spot where we could dine like locals on an off-the-beaten path area for a late lunch. Our group of nine ranged from ages 9 - 72, with an even greater variety of interests & personalities - Max genuinely captivated us and tailored the tour to our needs and desires. This tour was the highlight of an action-packed 2.5 day trip to NYC. I will recommend this small, local tour company to everyone who will listen! It was worth every penny!

Rachel, thanks for organizing a private tour with my company! I had a blast with your multi-generational family group. Please get in touch next time you plan a visit. And thank you for sharing your tour experience with other travelers. I am grateful.

You're reading this b/c you are trying to figure out what tour is worth your investment - this one is it! You can research must-see spots on your own (and I highly recommend the free guides that you can find on Max's cityrover website), but if you want someone else to do that work to ensure you make the most of your time in NYC, do this tour. We enjoy walking and exploring, and didn't want to waste time on a touristy double decker bus or something that stops for a picture at various sites - we wanted to explore and learn. Max is personable and truly cares that you get out of this tour what you are seeking - he engaged our teens in conversation, and was a true delight to spend a few hours with. This is your tour, he asks when/if you need to rest, snack, take a bathroom break, and made sure we got to our one world trade tour on time - you aren't at the mercy of a fixed tour with a guide that has memorized their script. I highly recommend Max and cityrover.
