Your tour includes a portable lunch. It consists of a turkey sandwich on organic whole wheat bread, fruit, freshly baked cookie, and water. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available with 48 hours advance notice.
A minimum of 2 people is required for tour to run.
This tour requires a certain amount of walking on uneven and rocky surfaces.
Motorized wheelchairs or scooters cannot be accommodated.

After reading all the great reviews and researching the company's website, we booked this tour independently rather than choosing one of the overpriced excursion options on our cruise. I'm so glad we did! As a professional photographer back at home, I was not sure what to expect on this private tour, however our guide Cindy Schultz did not disappoint and made this one of the most memorable travel experiences I've ever had. She knew all the best spots to photograph in beautiful Haines and shared her expertise and guidance without being overtly instructive. My non-photographer husband joined us and I was a little worried he might be bored but Cindy had the initiative to bring her telescope and include him in the many wildlife spotting opportunities which was really thoughtful. The highlight of my entire week in Alaska was spotting a beautiful 4-year-old grizzly bear, just across from the river as we passed in the car. We backed up slowly and I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to shoot many images and this was such a fantastic experience (see attached). Thank you so much, I will highly recommend your tours to all of our Australian friends and family who ever visit Alaska!!

Cindy Schultz is an expert photographer and guide and we really enjoy her positive energy on our staff. I'm so glad that you mentioned that the tour was a success for both you, a professional photographer, and your husband, a "non-photographer." We often have inquiries about whether the tour will be interesting for non-photographers. It turns out that most everyone enjoys the tour because of the pace. So many other tours make quick stops...in and out of the bus for a photo, and then back to driving around. Because of the nature of photography, you have to take time to slow down and get to know the location and the subject of the photograph, Even if you are not taking pictures, the tour gives you a chance to slow down, breath in the fresh Alaskan air, and enjoy some incredible scenery. Of course, seeing a brown bear in the wild is always a thrill, and we've had some great bear sightings already this year.

This is a do not miss tour. The scenery is beautiful, and the guide could not have been better. One of the real highlights of our cruise!!

Spent the day with Mischa Lopiano (which is the opposite of hi piano) and what a treat it indeed was! Personable, professional, funny, knowledgeable and fun to be around! Do yourself a favor and book this tour. I was in Skagway and came over on the ferry -- worth every minute and penny.
