We totally enjoyed Lisa Parker’s personality, congeniality, attention to including all of us as Ohana. We appreciated her knowledge of the local flora and fauna and history of the area. Would highly recommend this tour.

I really hate to leave a negative review as I’m usually the first person to shrug off a bad experience, but this tour just did not work for my husband and me. I decided to book a Road to Hana tour rather than driving ourselves for a couple of reasons - I wanted us both to be able to look around the entire way rather than focusing on the road, and much moreso I usually LOVE having a tour guide for places like the Road to Hana because of all the special local knowledge a guide should have ranging from local culture to nature to history. While we did see the entire Road to Hana loop, our guide Lea knew next to nothing about the sites. She jumped around from topic to topic and was honestly really confusing and unclear, offering nothing of any substance. She was completely unable to answer any questions about the Road to Hana sites or the Hawaiian culture. She didn’t seem to have any training or education about the tour she was leading at all. Other than the names and locations of points of interest, there was literally nothing added. I realize this is different than most of the reviews listed here, so maybe we were just unlucky with our particular guide. But with this day costing over $400, I’d much rather have just driven it ourselves and been able to go at our own pace rather than having to stick to a tour schedule when there was really no other benefit to the experience. It was pretty disappointing as I read many reviews of this tour mentioning that the guides were super knowledgeable and added so much local color and knowledge to their experience. I honestly felt this transparency about our experience will help others, so wanted to leave my two cents here.

The entire trip was wonderful. All the stops to visit the waterfalls, Hana farms, Hana, Black Sand Beach, and the back road to West Maui. Justin our driver was an excellent guide and driver. He made it fun and was very knowledgeable as he grew up in the area.
