We had a wonderful time. We stayed in Moab a few days before taking the Rocky Mountaineer to Denver. Tristan and Neal took great care of us and the commentary was very informative. Danette's service in the lounge was great and Crystal's meals were out of this world. So Delicious! They made the train ride entertaining. Two hotels were offered at Glenwood Springs. We chose the historic Colorado hotel, just a short walk across a bridge to the train station or you could take the shuttle as well. Lots of Teddy Roosevelt memorabilia. We would have liked to spend another day there, but the train left by 9 am the next morning. We enjoyed the ever changing landscape and saw 5 eagles, some deer and antelope along the way. Rocky Mountaineer staff treated everyone as welcomed guests and not just a number. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour. #Rocky Mountaineer.

The service was excellent once aboard the train. Could not have been better and the scenery was wonderful. The stories they tell and the food served made it even better. I would easily have given 5 stars except for two issues: 1) there is no Wi-Fi on the train. We were hoping to follow the geology on our route, but that required an internet connection we did not have. 2) Poor communication prior to travel. We would have stayed in the departure hotel if we knew which one it was but weren't told until a few days before the trip.

Our Rocky Mountaineer Train experience was amazing. We spent a few days in Moab prior to departure (highly recommend). The Hoodoo Hotel was beautiful. The train experience was truly first class! Mike, our host on the train is so knowledgeable and tells the best stories. Tracy and Leigh were also wonderful. Rae’s chef abilities were supreme! The food was amazing. The scenery was spectacular. The entire experience was fantastic! We did the Silver Leaf Plus experience and it was worth every penny. When our trip was over we immediately started looking at Gold Leaf Plus on the Canadian routes.
