This tour was ok. Our guide, Mike, was good & very knowledgeable. However, 3 hours and $150 apiece was both too much time and money. Tour company might want to consider offering a shorter & less expensive optiom. If you are REALLY, REALLY into rocks and geology and hiking, you will love it. If, like us, you're kind of interested, you will have your fill after about 1.5 hours. Also, side note for tourists using Lyft...this place doesn't have an address that the app recognizes, and it is in the middle of nowhere. It's a bigger problem when you want to leave at the end of the tour, and our tour guide kindly brought us back to our hotel. It might be nice if the tour company could make that process easier.

Hi Toni, Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. We appreciate your feedback. While our most popular tour is our 3-hour San Andreas Fault "Bones of the Earth" Jeep Tour, we do offer several shorter tours, including our "Movers and Shakers" tour as well as several shorter San Andreas Fault hiking tour options. Because of the popularity of our 3-hour tour, that is the one that is bookable through TripAdvisor. But all of our other tour options are listed and bookable through our website. We also invite guests to give us a call before booking, and we can help guide you to the most appropriate tour based on your interests and schedule. We have also worked with Google Maps to get our Metate Ranch tour departure location listed. I cannot speak to the proprietary apps that Lyft and Uber use, but if you plug the address shown on our confirmation into Google Maps, you will get turn-by-turn directions directly to our parking lot. We do suggest that guests using Uber or Lyft pre-schedule a pick-up for the return ride as there is no predicting how long it will take to get an on-demand pickup. But if you pre-schedule a pickup, then these services work well for most guests. Guests are welcome to call our reservations desk for assistance. Thank you again for your feedback. We are always hoping to improve and use reviews to help better our services.

Fun tour. We have all heard of the San Andreas Fault but to stand on it and learn about what happens below the surface was very interesting. The trail of plant life along the fault line including a wonderful little oasis is fun to observe and visit. The visit to the recreated native American village is okay but understanding their lifestyle and how they lived in this difficult terrain was fascinating. The best part of the tour was visiting the canyon and a quick climb up a tight slot canyon. The rock formations and the impact of the flash floods is impressive. The jeeps are basic but good for the purpose. We went in the morning when it was a little cooler and they keep the roof top open which helps the view of the narrow canyon. The trip isn't on paved roads so it is a little bumpy but we were quite comfortable. Our guide Steve was very friendly and informative.

My Family and I had a blast with our tour guide Craig. He was attentive and made the experience exciting despite the scorching heat for my boys for the entire 3 hours. My boys actually enjoyed learning about the dessert outside of school. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.
