This was certainly a great adventure. I had been waiting to do this tour for over a month so I was really looking forward to it. It met my expectations and more! I have lived in SD all my life but seeing the sites on water (vs. walking Harbor Island) and up close made it that much better. Highlights were seeing a whole lotta seals and some cute baby ones just hanging out on a mini-dock, going under the Coronado bridge, the beautiful SD skyline, seeing the massive ships from water level, etc. The ride is especially made more beautiful when the skies are blue so try to book when the weather is predicted to be nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. The boat is easy to steer. Girard was a great-n-enthusiastic tour guide.

We've been on harbor and whale tours before, but this was our favorite. You get to drive your own boat and you can get right up next to the big ships on the harbor. There is still a tour guide, leading the pack of speed boats and narrating through a walkie in your boat. We had a good time and I would definitely recommend this as a great way to tour the San Diego harbor.

My boyfriend and I went on the speed boat tour and it was so much fun! The tour guide was great because he knew his stuff and wasn't talking the whole time, which means we were able to talk. The boats seat 2 and goes about 25 miles per hour, which doesn't seem like much, but on the water it's pretty fast. Each boat is supposed to be spaced about 250 ft from each other during the 1 1/2 hour tour. We were able to see seals that were 3 feet away from the boat! Even if it's sunny outside I would recommend wearing jeans and bringing a fleece or sweatshirt. The winds out on the ocean can be pretty cold. This tour allows you to see how beautiful San Diego really is!
