Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

We went out out Monday morning on April 18th 2016. We were aboard the ship name the privateer it is a three hour tour, for very reasonable price. Very well worth money. The staff is outstanding they provide commentary and knowledge of whales, sea Life and local landmarks. It's a great time and a a nice boat ride, make sure you bring a sweatshirt and/or hatas it's a approximately 15° colder out in the ocean. Very interesting tour as were driving out there the ships captain actively searched for whales. We saw a mega pod of dolphins that were feeding. We also saw an extremely large flock of3 to 4 different species of birds just eatenand were resting on in approximately football fall football size field in the water, it was amazing. Great tour!

For someone who has loved dolphins all her life, this was the ultimate experience!! Although we did not see any whales, the dolphins were plentiful, and to be on the ocean for 3.5 hours was a dream come true! The water was crystal clear and we were able to take tons of great pictures. The crew members were very courteous, attentive and knowledgeable about all forms of sea life. We were able to find a Groupon for our tickets and it was the best $24 I have ever spent!

We didn't see a whale. But we did see a whole bunch of dolphins. Three different types of dolphins actually. And some sea lions as well as a bunch of birds. The boat was large and had more than enough room for all of the passengers. There was an upper deck where we sat, and a lower deck. It is much windier and rockier up on the upper deck but we were fine with that. There was a woman who talked on a loud speaker to us throughout the trip and what we were seeing and giving us information on the types of animals we saw. There was also a couple other crew members walking around to make sure everything was going well as well as food and drink in the galley. So to me this whale watching tour had everything we needed except for the Whales which I'm pretty sure isn't under the control of the company.
