I went solo and was welcomed into the group by Kathy warmly. There were 3 other solo adventurers on the tour. Our group was a mix of gay and straight, young and old, and were quite the jet set with folks from Asia, Australia, Texas, NY, Philadelphia (me), and a couple other places. Kathy balances the tour with historical footnotes, knowledgeable recommendations, a few tongue-in-cheek insider asides, and a sincere interest in everyone who comes along on the tour. She took time to answer our questions, share personal anecdotes, and take multiple pictures of us to ensure we had the perfect photo keepsake fro our tour. I highly recommend THIS tour of SF's Castro District. Enjoy! After the tour, grab a couple cookies from Hot Cookie across the street from the meeting point. They are sinfully rich and delicious!!

This is a great walk which reveals LGBT history in San Francisco. Kathy was a fantastic tour guide, really friendly and knowledgeable. I found the part about the AIDS quilt so moving. I would definitely recommend this walk.

So much better experience than I expected. Left the tour enlightened and uplifted. Kathy, the leader, conveys the history and community of the Castro area wonderfully. We got so much from the experience. Our group was fifty/fifty gay/straight and we were equally rewarded for our time spent. Best San Francisco experience of many visits. Don't miss out if you have the opportunity to be enriched by Kathy's tour.
