Kathy was so welcoming. We had a small group (only 5) so we got to know one another and our stories and reasons for being on the tour, which made it that much more special. Part of the fun of it, for me, was learning about the other tour members and how they had come to be on the tour - how LGBTQ+ issues had/have touched their lives. This tour is at a reasonable pace for all ages and abilities, and I'm certain Kathy would make accommodations for anyone needing them. We learned so much about the Castro, and about what makes it a true community. It is so obvious that Kathy is invested in this community and cares deeply for it, and for LGBTQ+ issues. Our group had opportunity to open up and discuss some coming out stories and challenges; I imagine each tour group has its own personality and that Kathy, while following a general script and ensuring she hits certain points, can feel the energy of the group and knows how to be both supportive and inquisitive to promote growth within. This was a highlight of my 4 days in San Francisco. I highly recommend it.

Very interesting tour. Kathy (he guide) was great, very knowlegeable, patient, answered all questions. Would recommend this tour to anyone interested in knowing more about the history of the Castro, gay rights and civil rights in general.

I as the only person on this tour so it was very special to be able to have such a personal tour. I had this trip cancelled the time before I was in San Francisco so it was doubly a pleasure this time. Definitely learnt so much about the history. A must for me to do the next time I am there
