What an enjoyable evening! Due to Covid limitations this was a private tour - just my husband and I. Mark stated he doesn't usually do evening tours, but we wouldn't have known if he hadn't told us! It was also San Francisco's first week of opening up post-Covid, so Mark had to find businesses that were actually open! And what was open was busier than expected. It gave the area a very festive feel and allowed Mark time to fill us in on the history of the neighborhood we were visiting. Pastries, alleyway murals, the alleged "mini" burrito, history, anecdotes, oysters, more history, options of chocolate, coffee, or hot chocolate (the European hot chocolate was like drinking fondue - I wanted more!). We just missed our last stop due to the longer than expected lines and restaurants still closing early.
Overall - Mark's tour was filled with not only history but personal anecdotes that came from four generations of his family history in the Bay area. It gave the tour a very personal touch.
Side note - the drink package - we didn't get it because I misunderstood and thought it was for "additional drinks". Wish I had added it as there would have been an added layer of flavoring to the the food offered on the tour!
