From Ohio and the book( the Garden of Good & Evil) we knew this is a good historical place to visit.About 6 years ago attempted to do on our own and didn't gain any knowledge or true appreciation. We signed up for the tour this year and it more than exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Rich, was extremely knowledgeable, enjoyable and respectful. The tour size was good, not too large. I strongly recommend.

Love that you shared perhaps the single most important traveler insider tip, that Bonaventure is a 204 acre cemetery jungle with dizzying avenues and while one pleasure is wanderlust, real depth perception and knowledge is touring with a guide like Rich and seeing which sections are the most essential to a day out! Shannon is a history buff, a great story teller and a gifted communicator. His tour of the Bonaventure Cemetery was a highlight of our visit to Savannah. His stories of the people and events that are part of the history of the cemetery were fascinating and gave a real insight into Savannahs colourful past. We would recommend Shannon’s tour as a “Must Do” for anyone visiting Savannah

I cannot imagine a visit to Savannah without a trip to the famous Bonaventure Cemetery. Our tour guide was a wonderful story teller and really made our visit worthwhile. We did the 10am tour and it did get a little toasty but luckily there were lots of trees for shade. Beautiful grounds and so much history. He touches upon Johnny Mercer, Little Gracie, and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, just to name a few.

Thank you for reminding the world of visitors to Savannah, how integral to the whole experience, Bonaventure Cemetery actually is from the perspective of grasping a bigger picture of the history of the entire culture. Travelers tend to see it as a seperate idea when in fact, its an appendage of the whole body. The old saying will always ring true and that you've not been to Savannah until you've been to Bonaventure. And know you are a true member of the club!
