My Boyfriend and I spent a long weekend in Savannah and heard about Bonaventure cemetery. We decided we wanted to take a tour versus walking around ourselves so we can get the history of the cemetery. We booked the tour with Shannon Scott and could not have been any more wowed. From first 'hello' he had us captivated. Shannon Scott not only knows the history of the cemetery and houses in the historical district he also brings in personal encounters and relationships from a first persons perspective. Shannon Scott is absolutely fantastic at what he does. He is intriguing, captivating, personable, and knowledgeable. There is no way you can walk away from his tour dissatisfied. Shannon Scott gives the audience a history lesson wrapped into the best story that you will not want to end. Hands down the best guide in Savannah. He even brings bug spray for the group!!! What a great personal touch.

Its all about the bug spray man! Hah! On the lowest of days I can look to reviews like this and be reminded of what drives me and keeps me going and its just such a blessing to open up and read such praiseworthy words. Some days I get one compliment in a review but every sentence of your's was a compliment and all I can say is that I'm very humbled and proud to have made an impact and hopefully touched your lives and rounded out your Savannah trip in the best possible way!

Whether trip #1 or #100 to Savannah - visiting Bonaventure with Shannon Scott is a must! I've always described Savannah and its many tours as history wrapped in gossip. The 'journey' with Shannon Scott is an immersion in the lives of Savannahians some famous, some not....but all of whom are woven in the beautiful tapestry that blankets the city. I felt like I was a fly on the wall, listening to a family divulge its darkest secrets. I was so impressed with Shannon's historical expertise, his study of the lives and lore and best yet - his connections with the characters that truly brought Bonaventure to life. I now understand the deep love I've developed for Bonaventure during my visits of the past dozen years. If possible, make this your first 'tour'....what you learn will put everything Savannah into perspective - and make the rest of your stay so much more enjoyable. On the other hand - if you take the journey at the end of your visit - I think it will ensure you return again and again.

Loved this tour! Could not recommend it higher as something to do when visiting Savannah. Alyssa our guide was amazing and shared so much knowledge and stories about the cemetery and its history.
