Savannah is an interesting city, steeped in history. There are many tour options available to the visitor, but I doubt many would surpass the tours provided by KT O’Brien, the owner of Savannah Tours and Tales. KT is a lifelong resident of the city, and her passion for sharing its secrets is very evident within a few minutes of meeting her. She has a degree in anthropology, but also minored in architecture and astronomy. She can uniquely talk about how locals lived thru the 1700s to the present, their lifestyles and history, while pointing out how those influences effected the construction of the city. The two hours flew by. All the while, she could point out her favorite restaurants, bars, and local entertainment. We ended the tour next to a local pizzeria that served the best NYC style pizza this side of the Bronx. I highly recommend taking one of KT’s tours, should you wish to see the city without all the “ghosts”.

KT is a fantastic host and guide for this history tour and she clearly loves what she does. This is a great tour for any Savannah trip as it gives a clear and fun back drop to what makes Savannah unique and interesting. Everything else after the tour tied in with more significance and relevance so do it early in your stay to get the most out of whatever follows.

Our tour guide KT was fantastic! Her passion for this city comes through and she’s super knowledgeable - KT is a native of Savannah and loves her beautiful city and what she does!
