Finally, we'll see the Elms. This masterpiece was designed for the coal baron Edward Julius Berwind, and inspired by France's Château d'Asnières. Here we'll want to slow down as much as possible to hear about the Berwinds -- and maybe pull inside for a tour!

We're now heading towards some of the largest and finest mansions in Newport -- and they're technically not even on this famously expensive avenue! Ochre Court will immediately arrest our eyes! This châteauesque mansion cost of $4.5 million... in 1892. And it certainly shows! Now the centerpiece of the Salve Regina University, this mansion isn't open for tours... but that won't stop us from learning all about it's rich and fascinating history!

I gave 4/5 stars due to the direction segment of the tour. You can easily see yourself as the moving blue circle yet the directions are way ahead of you. At one point we had to turn right onto a street but it failed to mention the right turn prior. It starts narrating before your arrival so the picture you are looking at is not the correct mansion at times. The site is easily backed up or repeated and the mansion lies ahead!!The instructions are to drive slowly so it should have a better idea where you are. Especially with technology today. I did enjoy doing things at my own pace. Stopping and stretching. Pausing for a longer look. But especially going on a tour when I wanted to tour. Not when someone else told me tour times. Don’t forget to use the gold button on the bottom of the screen for additional information!!!

So glad you enjoyed the tour! Thank you for the detailed feedback! We intentionally set up the pins (audios and images) to start slightly before the mansion since we wanted people to be prepared for what to look for. But it’s good to know that some of these pins start too early so we will take a look at adjusting their locations!

The details of each stop were very good. The only complaint I have is that the GPS was off at times.

Great introductory tour if you want to drive around getting your bearing of Newport, like a private tourbus. It was easy to download and install, I did it at home with a good wireless. It is kind of impractical to drive around at 20 m/hr in mid-city to listen to the tour. So I went back to catch some of the sights out of turn. And listened to the commentary while not near the sights. Still, I feel I got a good sense of Newport through this tour.
