Discover coconut crabs, which use their huge claws like bolt cutters to crack open coconuts and be awed by porcupine crabs, land crabs and more as you get up-close views of how they eat. Spot clown fish and sea turtles and watch jellyfish floating inside cylindrical tanks that mimic ocean tides and currents. At the Pacific Northwest display, you can learn about sea anemones, cucumbers and sea stars. Make your way to four themed tanks, starting with hundreds of sea creatures like nurse, zebra, and bamboo sharks that swim around in the Rainbow Reef tank. The water tunnel was awesome, but outside of that it is a pretty short-lived experience. For the price though, I did feel fulfilled, I would say.

SeaLife is one of my family's favorite stops when we go to the mall and to Minnesota each year. My daughter is in love with the shark tunnel - it's truly a magical world to her and she has been going since she was a year old. It's a family tradition we look forward to. Comparing to our typical experience, this visit was a fail. To start, they now currently require advance reservations that can be made online. You have to pre-select the time slot and can no longer stop when it fits in your day. This was a minor inconvenience, especially since we didn't know if lunch prior would affect this time slot, etc. However, getting to the aquarium and checking in with the e-ticket was actually easy. While we expected to enjoy our visit, it was rather stressful and semi-disappointing. Families are usually welcomed at the green screen to get their photo taken. We usually love these because its a fun momento. The photographer refused to let families pull down or take off their masks to smile for photos. This was the first disappointing element considering you pay $35+ for the photos. The manager did end up making this right for us as when we got through the exhibit, the employee at the photo pay counter wasn't even masked. We appreciate the manager being willing to make this right for our family and not hinder our tradition but it still was inconvenient to have to experience. Walking through the aquarium was honestly the most affected portion of our visit. You are not allowed to go backwards, pass or return to any point of the exhibit and have to follow the tape on the floor. Families can get extremely pushy while moving through, especially though the water tunnel. You cannot truly stop and enjoy what you are seeing because someone is always at your heels. There are several parts we actually had to skip completely as people behind us had their strollers constantly hitting the back of our legs while walking. It's very hard to be socially distant here. To add to the growing disappointment, the kids no longer get the stamp books to collect around the aquarium, and no shark token necklace for completing it. The water bubble areas where kids can climb in to "view from the tanks" are closed off and inaccessible. They do have the touch pool open, which my daughter enjoyed as well as stingray feeding. In all, while I am thrilled my daughter enjoyed her visit, as a parent, it was hard to have to rush her through something that should be a wonderful experience and outing.
