My parents are not museum goers, but wanted to experience the Met. Having been to many museums around the world, i thought booking a tour would be great as an introduction to this vast collection. James met us at the door, brought us in thru security and the ticket line, with a quick introduction of the museum history, and led us to the first group of exhibits on early Mexican ruins. Nothing i would really spend much time with as the museum is so huge, but James brought humor and an understanding of these finds that was fascinating (now i am regretting wanting to rush thru these!). Each room and corridor into a new culture, new continent, new era. James delivered facts, stories and insight at every twist and turn. I was so surprised when our tour ended at the roof top of the museum, the 3 hours flew by with my head buzzing about what i had learned, and also wondering if my parents had enjoyed this tour as much as i did. Turns out, the experience brought tears to my step mothers eyes, how she had never invested time into exploring the treasures of a museum, and what she could have missed in her life. They will now be active museum visitors where ever they travel ! Thank you James for a great experience !

Our tour guide, Mark, was an absolute delight from the moment we met him. Informative, friendly, so passionate about art and New York. He guided my mum and I through the gallery towards pieces he is particularly fond of and interested in, but was also attentive to our individual interests and tailed the tour accordingly. I thoroughly enjoyed our musings and discussions over each piece we stopped at and was left feeling joyful and inspired by the experience. We couldn't have asked for a better guide and first introduction to the Met! Worth every penny.

James was wonderful! He had many interesting facts and stories, we wish we had more time with him! Will request James the next time we are in NYC.
