Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What a great experience! Got a tandem kayak with my son, and the two of us had an absolute blast, especially paddling through the mangroves. We spotted lots of wildlife, and we found some great shells. This was a terrific way to spend an afternoon and a highlight of our trip to FL.

My husband and I had such a fun time on this kayak tour but it was made even more special and fun because of Doug and Ross. They are so knowledgeable and personable -- very engaging with everyone throughout the entire trip. From the very beginning upon arrival to the very end, they made sure you were doing well and having a good time. Their instructions were always clear and easy to follow as well. Couldn't say enough kind words to describe this outing. Highly recommend it!!!

My family of 4 went on the sunset kayak trip for my daughter's 15th birthday. We all had a great time learning about the local birds, fish and mangroves. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They checked with us ahead of time and were able to recommend the double kayak for my husband and son based on my husband's height (he is 6'4" and sometimes has difficulty fitting into kayaks but was very comfortable on this trip). They also took a few grea pics for us.
