This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Chris was an amazing tour guide filled with knowledge, facts, and fun. His playlist suited the group and lunch was amazing. I would strongly recommend taking this tour!

My husband and I took the Napa tour a few weeks ago. We were picked up right on time at our hotel by Dave and had such a fun day. We had 9 of us plus Dave on our tour, which was a great size group. We enjoyed seeing the 4 boutique wineries that Dave took us to. We received special treatment at all of the wineries and enjoyed not having to fight any crowds etc. It was super cool getting to sample grapes right off of the vine etc, which we never could have done at larger wineries. All in all, a wonderful day and great experience! We will definitely take another tour with Platypus if we are in the area!

Yeah, Dave! Thanks for posting, Suz! Our guides are so good about coaxing these value-added experiences for their guests...Dave has been at it for us over the past several years, so he has lots of winery connections and relevant knowledge. I'm so glad you enjoyed the small backroads winery focus!

On our first full day in Napa, we took to advice of friends and joined Platypus Tours for a day of exploring four locally owned, family run wineries. With a pick up at our hotel, (The Westin Verasa), we joined a group of 6 other people and enjoyed exploring great wineries with Sarah as our guide. Water and cheese board on the bus in between wineries! My three young adult children and I enjoyed meeting people from around the world — Dubai, Canada, Southern California. For me, it was a mixture of adventure, education, diversity and fun. We probably enjoyed 4 tastings at 5-6 pourings per stop. Yet the care and water and time between stops made for a well-balanced 10:00 - 5:00 day. I would definitely add this to my schedule when in Napa!

I agree that the diverse mix of guests that we usually get on board makes for an expecially compelling day.
