With just 11 of us (max 15?), the small group size was great - for meeting and socializing with seating in an oval shape inside the van. We visited 4 boutique wineries, served a cold lunch at one and that was after cheese and crackers on the van. Lunch included two types of salads, sandwiches on artisan bread, dessert and more. Our driver took us to the vines and showed us how sugar was measured in grapes and though sweet, only half way to ripening! Tastings were fun and the scenery fabulous and winery owners very accommodating.

Andy was an awesome tour guide! He did a fantastic job setting up the tour and providing information. He had a great sense of humor and provided a fantastic experience. There were great snacks and a delicious lunch provided. 5 stars, 100% recommended to anyone visiting the area!

We booked the Platypus Small Group Tour to visit 4 boutique family owned wineries in Napa Valley. Our driver / tour guide was terrific. She was very knowledgeable about the Napa Valley and wine tours. We toured 4 boutique wineries: Merryvale Vineyards, Varozza Vineyards, Madrigal Family Winery & Kenefick Ranch Winery. We met some of the owners of these four wineries. They were very knowledgeable of their wines, grapes, vineyards, harvesting grapes and making great wines! They also answered all our questions. We enjoyed tasting all the various wines paired with various cheeses and crackers. We tasted Cabernets, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sweet Desert wines. We also enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch at Varozza Vineyards. The group of people were great and we had a lot of fun on the tour. We’ll definitely come back to Napa Valley.
