A little pricey, but well worth it! Our guide, Michael Kreider, was great! He told us so much about wine in general, and specifically to this region. Plus some history about Napa Valley. He picked us up at 10:15 am just outside our B&B and we ended up with a group of 8 after picking up others. We went to 4 wineries who gave discounted tasting fees to our tour, enjoyed a wonderful gourmet lunch inside the 2nd winery and an additional cracker & cheese tray throughout the afternoon, plus plenty of bottled water throughout the trip. We felt our group was given special treatment and loved all 4 wineries. Michael picked up our wine for us and stored it on the mini bus until we departed at our B&B at 5:00 pm. He also offered each of us a wine box with styrofoam that held 12 bottles for only $5, which normally cost $12-15 we were told by our B&B. He told us it was suitable as your 2nd piece of luggage on most airlines, and that proved true with Southwest airlines for no additional fee! Just wrap it with lots of packing tape. Curb service at the airport was very helpful in tagging it and wrapping it with even more tape. The wine came home safe and sound! Thank you, Michael, for that tip! Would definitely recommend this tour, and best before you start out on your own.

This tour is still $110 per person, picnic lunch included. Tasting fees at the wineries are not included, but we negotiate with the wineries to keep those fees at about $15pp at each (a real bargain here, believe me...) Plus, the wineries will almost always waive tasting fees for those guests buying wine. Thanks so much for your comments, Laura; I'm so happy you enjoyed it and that you liked Micheal so much!
