It took a long time before launch having to meet at Safeway first, then driving out to test wind conditions, then driving all around cave creek packed in a stuffy van (we eventually had to ask them to turn the air on) to find a good launch location. The unpack and setup took a long time (and needed some volunteer assistance). I imagine it takes quite a bit longer to setup due to the size of the balloon (largest in America). The relatively short flight while nice, never really surpassed 1,000ft while we gazed out at all the other normal size balloons soaring high high above us. They were also in the air earlier (for sunrise, while we were still blowing up the monster balloon) and they were still in the air when we landed. The landing ceremony was a bit drawn out do to having to setup carpet and champagne glasses for 20+ people followed by pictures. The champagne breakfast was just ok, typical high sugar continental breakfast (costco hard boiled eggs, strawberries, and an assortment of prepackaged muffins). I can see the advantage of the large balloon from a business/profit perspective (more passengers per ride) but besides saying you flew in the largest balloon in America it seems like the normal size balloons might be the way to go. In the 4 hours we spent with them, I think about 40min was spent flying at low altitude. I personally would prefer a longer/higher flight with less prep/setup time.
