This unique, 5-hour photo tour begins in Waikiki with a hotel pickup in a spacious, air-conditioned van. The sunrise tour departs from the hotel an hour before the sun comes up, then a drive to a spectacular beach for a breathtaking view of the sun at dawn as it appears on the horizon with splashing waves and tide pools. After sunrise we stop for a quick breakfast and continue our tour stopping at 5-6 different locations around the east side of the Oahu. Learn how to use light, and discover what framing, shutter speed, focal points and other important topics mean to composing a great image. Then explore the best places — and find the best angles — in which to take pictures on this breathtaking island. It’s the best of both worlds: a tour with an experienced local guide who shares their knowledge of the Hawaiian history and culture and a mini photo lesson with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world for a postcard-perfect sunrise. Along the way, learn about Hawaii’s history, its wildlife and the geography from the naturalist guide who is not only an expert in photography, but also a Hawaii insider with an in-depth knowledge of the island of Oahu. This photography tour is suitable for all skill levels — from beginners to advanced shooters, using everything from smartphones to high-end DSLR cameras. Marie was in constant contact via text with us prior to our tour. We rebooked once due to the weather....She didn't hesitate to offer a couple alternative dates or a full refund. She picked us up at our hotel and we made our way to the East Coast, all the while being a terrific tourguide. We stopped at several locations as the sun rose and then she took us to several other of her favorite locations that had wonderful photo opportunities. She was also an amazing photography teacher, helping us use our iPhone to take amazing, memorable photographs. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Marie and wouldn't hesitate to book with her again.

I heard about this company when it was mentioned in an online Udemy class by Phil Ebelin. So I sought them out and signed up my husband and I up for the sunrise photography tour. It was great. I was the only one with a DSLR. Everyone else had phones only. But our guide Jenny offered great advice for both. They provided the tripod too. I got great shots and learned a lot about my camera as well as the pro photography features on my Samsung S22. My husnand is not into photography but enjoyed learning more about using his Google Pixel 6. The sunrise and Byoto photos we captured early in the morning were spectacular. The other 4 had Apple phones. Jenny gave a lot of personal attention to all 6 of us on the tour. She knew her stuff I would highly recommend this company!

Totally worth it! It is so much more than an exceptional sunrise. Marie was on point with making sure everything was going smooth prior and after the tour. Our tour guide Nelson was amazing, very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Would I do it all over again? Absolutely! I am recommending everyone I know to visit Hawaii and choose Blue Hawaii for the tours. If I knew how worth it this was going to be, I would've tried more of their tours during our stay. However, this motivates me to go back one day and do them all. Lol
