Nice sunset sailing experience! For those who already own a sailboat or they would like to try the experience of sailing on a large tall ship! Ship sails at sunset, near Mallory Square up to Fort Zachary, where they fire a miniature canon! The sound is loud enough to hear the echoes from the buildings nearby. It gives you the feeling of being on a pirate ship! Ship sails for a bit even on the open water, where you might get the feel of the large ocean waves and swell! Price is affordable, yet travelers need to bring their own drinks and snacks. No live music on board, just the sound of wind, sails and waves! Captain would allow you to steer the boat for a bit, you will get the feeling of being at the helm of a large ship! Engine is used only for a short time, when leaving and returning to the marina. Mask was not compulsory, yet anyone was free to wear it if they were too close to other people.

Wow! Thank you very much for this wonderfully comprehensive review and 5 star rating! Very much appreciated! We do like to think of ourselves as a fun, traditional sailing experience with a hint of Piracy! No band playing or loud music - only the sound of the wind, water, waves and occasional cannon fire! We want our passengers to experience what it is that we like - being out on the water, sailing along with the wind on an 80 foot square rigged, topsail schooner! Thank you very much for choosing to sail with us and for taking the time to write this great review. Hope to see you on the Rover again. Sincerely, Bill Malone - Proud owner of the Tall Ship Schooner Jolly II Rover.
