  • Electrical wheelchairs are permitted, but special arrangements need to be made with the supplier for a handicap-accessible bus. This must be arranged 72 hours prior to tour date. Contact details will be on your voucher.

This was a really cool tour of Louisiana swamps not too far away from where we were staying in the French Quarter. Grayline makes it really easy by picking you up near the Natchez ticket booth and then transporting you to your destination in a very comfortable coach. The tour itself was a very decent length and we got to learn about the eco system as well as see some alligators being fed. I would definitely recommend and would do it again. Next time we’ll try the airboats.

Incredible photos always sell these kinds of activities but in reality, they rarely deliver. Our guide/captain was super informative and funny but, he insisted on pumping out music while we were gliding around the Bayou. Credence Clearwater Revival totally killed the serene nature sounds we all wanted to enjoy. I had to ask to good captain to turn down the volume as we were struggling to verbally share our experience with each other. And as for those photographic, dreamy, romantic little waterways canopying by oak tress dropped in gorgeous Spanish moss - forget it. They are there for sure, but the captain poked the bow of the vessel into the entrance than quickly pulled away and back into wide open boring canals. The small alligators nibbling on the marshmallows the captain tossed into the water was questionable but mildly interesting.

This review shows a side of a tour that is not what we want for our guests. If you remember the guides name, we want to address this with him. Part of the charm is that quiet area where more inhabitants will come to see who came to visit.

The New Orleans Swamp and Bayou Sightseeing Tour was an awesome experience. It starts with an easy riverside bus pickup from the French Quarter and a scenic 30-45 minute drive into Cajun country. The boat pick-up location has a gift shop, restrooms, and an outdoor bar for refreshments. The boat ride through the Barataria Preserve was serene, with sightings of alligators, other wildlife, and the bayou that inspired Disney's "The Princess and the Frog"! The tour was well thought-out and informative, offering a real look at Louisiana’s wetlands. From our friendly bus driver Alton to the knowledgeable boat captain, everything was well-organized. Highly recommend!

Your high recommendation is exactly what we what we hope to instill from our guests. BTW, look at the Steamboat NATCHEZ next time you are in town. It is the model for the Princess movie Riverboat.
