Originally booked this cruise for Friday, May 14th (my birthday) because for an extra charge they stayed out to see the fireworks show on sure.
It's a good thing I called about 2 weeks in advance to confirm my booking because at that time I was informed that due to Covid 19 the fireworks show was cancelled and the Friday night cruise was moved to Saturday. I booked this event through my travel agent, and THEY DID NOT INFORM HIM OF THE CHANGE, THEREFORE I WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN HAD I NOT CALLED.
The cruise itself was great, from transportation there and back to the cruise itself. It was a 5 course meal, and there was very nice entertainment on board. The scenery was great as we cruised up to Waikiki and then turned around for the return trip to the pier. Got some great sunset photos.
Now, having said all of that: this may sound a bit trivial, but I can't believe there was no salt and pepper on the table for us. Isn't that a given? When they brought the steak and vegetable part of the meal, I requested salt and pepper. It took 15 minutes, and 2 additional requests before I finally got it. And it wasn't in shakers or packets. They had to pour it into little cups and that is how It was served. Needles to say that my steak was cold by the time it arrived.
So in closing, I again will say that it was a great dinner cruise overall. Just make sure that if you like to use salt and pepper make sure you ask for it at the beginning of the meal.
