We loved the Coastal Discovery Museum. We walked the lovey Discovery Trail and then stayed for an interesting and informative presentation on the Civil War on Hilton Head Island. Our lecturer also discussed what factors lead up to Secession in South Carolina. We learned a great deal. I highly recommend this event.

Well researched presentation! Great information about a pivotal six hour naval attack ending with Union occupation of Hilton Head. Wish it had been longer. The museum has many interesting displays relating to local culture and the grounds reflect the natural local habitat. Will visit again.
