I am somewhat of a baseball fan (St. Louis Cardinals), and found myself in Boston for a few days, so I thought why not tour Fenway Park? At the beginning of the tour, our guide, Sarah, shared that her goal was to not necessarily make us all Red Sox fans, but to make us fans of Fenway Park. She did that in spades! We were in a very large group, so I thought it might be difficult for her to manage. Between the mic system she carried and the extra person to help herd us around, it was done very well! Sarah was very friendly and knowledgeable and very impressive with the way she handled a particularly precocious young man; another guide may have lost all his or patience, but not Sarah. In fact, she let him have the spotlight at an appropriate time and that tickled him immensely. The tour didn't seem rushed at all and we had several opportunities to take LOTS of pictures! We sat in the original wooden seats in the oldest MLB stadium in the country. I only wish I had been in town for the Wild Card game the next night. That would have been icing on the cake! This was a definite highlight of my first trip to Boston!
