The great young lady on the Tucson train who explained where we were, history and answered all our questions. Much better than our last trip.. great staff addition..

The Green River was interesting, but nothing else of interest happened. The lady in the open car did a good job on the history, but was difficult to understand due to the lack of audio equipment. Three out of four employees were rude to guests; especially, the bartender. Other employees that we encountered seemed impatient when asked questions regarding backpacks, food and beverages not being allowed on the the train. Nothing was posted indicating that these items could not be brought onto the train, and we were told just prior to boarding. Many of the travelers had to return these items to their cars in the parking lot.

While lunches purchased at our depot café are allowed to be brought aboard the train, and full beverage service is always available during the ride, outside food and beverage has never been allowed aboard the train. For the fairness to and safety of all passengers we do have a limitation to the size and number of bags guests are allowed to carry aboard. Information on the limitations on food, beverage and bags is in our website, on both the At The Depot and FAQ pages. We also have signage on bag limits now posted at the ticket counter and both depot entrances. We appreciate your feedback.

The scenery in this railroad journey was beautiful. The service from the car staff was plentiful and friendly. This is worth your time and money.
