The gentleman that was the bartender was nice and friendly, it had body odor . Unpleasant when he was standing next to me taking my order

Waaay too long. Although the post says 3 hr 30 min, you are supposed to get there at 12:00 for the 1:00 departure and then we didn't return until 4:50. If there was a lot to see, that would be great.... there is not. AND if you are on the Left side with the couches, there really is nothing to see. If on the couches side, which twice as many people are given it is 2 seats at a table on the right and 4 on the couches on the left, you have the mountains a couple yards from the window 75% of the time. If you thought, as I did, that it wasn't really an issue because we would have the side with the view on the way back, wrong again. The engine is moved to the front vs a turn around of the train so you get the poor view both directions! It is a long time to not see much. Yes, they have outdoor cars so hope it is a nice day to take advantage of that. Although you will be standing because if you sit, people come and stand right in front of you. Not the train's fault for that of course. I do drink alcohol but was a bit offended how much the car server was pushing alcohol- “you can get off the train, if you don’t want to drink” “we are here to party” and comments like that. It was rather aggressive. Recommendations to the operators: 1) let people book seats at the table for 2 and charge more for those seats which are without any question the better seats. Implied then to charge less for the couches, not only for the poor view but also if you are a party of 2 but you may also be stuck staring at 2 other people you really don’t like. Could be fun with some combinations and not so much other times. 2) increase the speed of the train to make the trip quicker. There are a couple spots where there are sights and still can reduce speed there and go faster for much of the rest. 3) Ask the car servers to be less aggressive in alcohol sales. Let everyone know what is available and have them make the decision instead of constantly shouting out about it.

Not being allowed to carry my camera case on board. It is a small case which I transport my camera lenses. I wish I would have been warned when we picked up our tickets because they too saw my very small case.
