As a fan of the Fixer Upper show, I really looked forward to this tour. I had done some research to find the locations of various Fixer homes, and my friend and I had driven by a few before our tour. However, with the anticipation of a possibility of actually going inside a Fixer home, and meeting Jimmy Don (or at least visiting his "iron trailer"), we couldn't wait for this tour! I must be honest, we were a bit disappointed. Our guide seemed "new," and began by being confused about which guests should be touring. She did have information to offer, but talked a lot about herself. There were moments of total silence inside the tour vehicle, and often, she'd stop talking mid-sentence because she was driving. We did see numerous homes and she offered some interesting information, but it wasn't until the end of the tour that she said we couldn't go inside the "Three Pigs House" as other tours had done. We had to ask (as we were finishing the tour) if we'd see Jimmy Don or his trailer. She just said "no." She didn't offer to take photos. We were able to spend a few minutes at Harp Design Co. and Little Shop on Bosque, but our guide was also shopping. The other reviewers talk about how much fun they had with Joe; I can regretfully say that it was not really a "fun" tour (especially if compared to a "Classic Tour" we took a couple days before). She seems like a nice lady, but I guess I had hoped for an experience like other reviewers relayed.

I appreciate any feedback to help improve the tour. Your guide is relatively new and I'll personally work with her. Our guides are 5 star, but they strive to grow. Please contact me at 254-870-1412 for a full refund. Some things are beyond our control, like availability of the 3 Little Pigs house. 90-95% of the time you get to go in and if not we invite you to meet us back when it is open (usually within a day or two). We understand this experience is once in a lifetime and we do everything possible to make it happen. Unfortunately Jimmy Don's Trailer isn't open as he is finishing his second retail shop at the same location which is being targeted to open in April. This should have been communicated. Our cost for the tour is the most reasonably priced in town as it's important to us that everyone coming to Waco has the opportunity to have an awesome Fixer Upper experience and not bypass a tour because of price. Again, thank you for the feedback.
