Guests will walk through the slot canyon known as Waterhole Canyon. Located just 5 miles south of Page, AZ on the Navajo Nation is a beautiful slot canyon waiting to be discovered, WITHOUT the large crowds. Guest will be accompanied with a tour guide as the mesmerizing beauty of the 2-mile canyon leaves a life-long memory. WCE tries their best to keep their guest to tour guide to a 14:1 ratio for each tour time. Guests are shuttled from our office location to the canyon entrance site to begin the slot canyon tour. I purchased the Photography Tour and am extremely happy with it. Shane was the tour guide. He is patient, knowledgeable, easy going, friendly, and informative. I would consider myself an intermediate level photographer/enthusiast. Shane not only guides you through the canyon, he teaches photography in a manner that you learn and assimilate the new knowledge for great photo results. I highly recommend the Waterhole Canyon Experience and Shane as a tour guide. Photography was my main mission for the booking but the experience is much more, for example learning more about the Navajo history and culture. Definitely a high value experience.

The tour was over an hour and a half. The tour guide Shane told all about the canyons and about the culture of the Navajo clan. There was ample time for taking pictures, even if you wanted to wait until the group was out of sight. The tour guide also took initiative several times to take pictures of all guests in the beautiful places. He also had very useful instructions for the settings on IPhones and Androids . We were also the only group in the canyon at that time. Fantastic to do!
