Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

The best activity that we did on our 5 day trip…. Hands down! Mitch was the best guide we could’ve asked for. He was informative & made the whole trip even more exciting. We went swimming in the river & he literally did a backflip off of a wall 😂 so cool. The white water was amazing & such a thrill. There are a lot of competing rafting companies down the street from Big Creek & I am SO glad we chose them out of all the rest. Big Creek is the way to go!

Our family of five did the Upper Pigeon River Whitewater Rafting trip on 8/25/22. We had an outstanding time!! Mitch was our guide and he was fantastic!! He clearly loves rafting and sharing the experience with groups. It was our first time and we loved it!! Would definitely go back and do it again!!

This was the highlight of our stay in Gatlinburg. We were a family of eight with some younger and older members, so we signed up for the family trip. Upon our arrival they accessed our ability to handle the Upper Pigeon River and offered us the opportunity to upgrade our trip. We are glad we did. Our guide made sure we all remained safe by keeping a close eye on the older and younger participants. Oh yeah, we had a blast. Good people all around. A great experience for anyone looking for a little adventure.
