If you need transport to Whitney Plantation, don’t use Crescent City. 6 1/2 hours on the bus, of which we had 1 1/4 hrs at Whitney.

I’m sorry for your experience. I do not doubt that something happened on this tour that rubbed you the wrong way. But we always guaranteed two hours at the Plantation. And it’s one we always follow through on. But I do understand that some people get a little antsy because we make a series of stops at other plantations and other tourist sites. If that is the issue that you’re having, I would say to any customer that is reading this review. If all you want is a ride to the Plantation we are most definitely not the company for you. We clearly state in our itinerary that we make a series of stops. We bring people to see other plantations. We also stop at one of the plantations and give our guests 30 minutes to run inside and get a bite to eat. We are trying to do far more than just sell Tours. We are trying to deliver experiences. So if all you want is a ride to the plantation and back downtown to New Orleans, there are plenty of companies who are more than excited to accommodate that. But for us, this is a long way to come and all you get is a tour. Anybody can put up some pretty pictures on the Internet and sell a tour we are trying to deliver experiences. It’s clear that something went wrong on your tour. But I guarantee that you had two hours. Now,I do understand that some people would like more time at the tour that is something that I have run into before. But to say you didn’t get two hours highly unusual and not likely. Out of 23 people on the bus this is the only complaint I got for this tour. So it makes it hard for me to delve out any reprimand or punishment to our tour guides. I’m sorry for your experience., I wish it had been better.

Fun and informative driver, extra stop on Laura and Oak alley plantations for drop off of others which enabled us to get a glimose of them too. History at Whitney well told and described. A must!

Great Experience all round . Firstly my young children absolutely loved the driver Larry AKA Bam Bam. They’ve been quoting some of his anecdotes word for word since we returned home. Quite amusing to hear two young English boys trying their hardest to nail his accent. The Whitney Tour was engaging and the handheld devices were probably more suited for children than a guide as they can go at their own pace . The subject matter wasn’t pleasant , but my two kids aged 6 and 8 took it all in and had lots of questions for me and their mother . I personally think that another 30 minutes would be ideal before the return pick up. The drop off for food at Oak Alley wasn’t something I was aware of, but was welcomed as the kids were starting to get hungry and a bit restless . If we were to return to New Orleans we’d definitely book with Crescent City again.
