Зодиакальный квест в пустыне

Обзор
Your adrenalin will be pumping when you captain a four- or six-passenger Zodiac, a rigid-hulled inflatable boat offering speed and agility. The adventure begins with a tour by van through historic downtown Ketchikan. Look out the windows as your scenic drive travels past totem poles, Saxman Native Village, and the beautiful coastline of the Tongass Narrows to the Beaver Falls Salmon Cannery. Upon arrival, breathe in the fresh air as you walk the mystical rainforest trail to the Zodiac. After a safety briefing, you’ll bundle up in rain gear, rubber boots and a life jacket, step inside the sturdy Zodiac and follow your guide out to the beautiful George Inlet Fjords. Soak up the pristine scenery, and marvel at the rich wildlife. After cruising for 90 minutes, you’ll return to the cannery for a complimentary flight of 49th state craft beers or sodas and a snack!

We did this as a cruise ship excursion. We were met by the owner as we disembarked the ship. Mike drove us to the cannery and gave us a historical tour of all things Ketchikan. Upon arriving at the cannery, we walked a short path to where the zodiacs were parked along the way Chris explained the native flora and fauna. Next we were outfitted with raingear and lifejackets, and given a briefing on how the boats operated. The weather was perfect; clear skies, sunshine and glassy water. However, I was glad I had worn long pants, a jacket, and a hat once we were zipping along on the boats. The zodiacs are so fun to drive. We saw bald eagles and a family of seals. Occasionally, we would stop, and Chris would give us a short history lesson on logging and the economy of Alaska or the geology of the area. After the zodiac drive we sampled a flight of Alaska beers and reindeer sausage. I would highly recommend this tour! We will remember this one for a long time.

My husband and I did this as one of our excursions in a cruise and it was amazing. We had great weather and saw bald eagles and a family of seals. We caught a glimpse of a whale when we first arrived it but that was it. This is very much worth the money it’s a small group that you go with and you can drive your own boat or just be a passenger. This is such a great time. I highly recommend it.

We booked this as an excursion through Carnival Cruise. We had a blast. Chris the tour guide is great. After some brief instruction you are off in a four person zodiac playing follow the leader around the bay. We had four boats in our group. If you want to drive the boat you will get a turn. If you just want to drive and take pictures that is cool too. It was early in the spring so we didn't see whales or bear but you probably will later in the season. We saw Bald Eagles, ravens, deer and seals. The highlight was probably driving the zodiac and this is no putt putt - at times we were hauling butt across the bay. Overall it was a great morning. Be sure to dress warm but the outfitter has rain gear if you need it.
