To start off there's absolutely no incentive to book in advance. We paid a lot more and on the day of the trip you could walk up and buy your tickets way cheaper. So we paid $58 extra for not a single thing. The tour itself isn't too bad , but there seems to have been a huge lack of direction and coordination on ours. Two shuttles that kept stopping in different areas, never meeting up properly. Due to people being late it ends up feeling rushed at every stop. Was given different tour start times, then ended up nearly being late to the AWCC anyway. The worst is the other people around you. You're in a 13 seat very cramped shuttle, excluding driver and passenger. We had adults on our shuttle acting like babies over where they were going to sit, just a complete mess. You could do yourself the favor and just drive to visit Beluga point, Bird point and the AWCC on your own time, it's a million times more enjoyable. I couldn't in any good conscience suggest going on this tour.

Thank you for your review. I am a little taken back as the tour you were on made numerous bonus stops and customers all clapped when they were dropped off giving more tips than ever expected. We went to the Ulu Factory, Wildberry Products to see the largest chocolate waterfall, Beluga Point, We saw Dahl Sheep and Beluga Whales right along the roadside, we went to falls creek, Turnagain Gallery, Bird Point, Explorer Glacier, Byron Glacier, Middle Glacier, went for a walk in the rainforest. We arrived at the Wildlife Center on time and got to watch the bear feeding and after the guest were given ample time to see the other wildlife at the center. You learned about Captain Cook and the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act along with other information about the area. The tour was supposed to be 5.5 hours and because of all the bonus stops the tour lasted 6.5 hours. We did not rush at any stop. Yes the two people from New Jersey demanded certain seats but that was settled right away and no other occurrence happened. I remember that you and your partner had two seats together and were not cramped in any way as the van was large and you could stand up in it. There is no better tour van available. The van holds 15 passengers and is not cramped in anyway. Because of the many bonus stops we were out of the van more than we were in it.

Our tour went for 7 hours! It happened to be a beautiful day so the glaciers and scenery all looked georgous. Laura was knowledgeable and relaxed. We went on to see most of the Alaskan signature animals in the wild, but not as close and it was a great introduction. At the conservation park, there were limited food choices (if you are gf or diabetic, take your own snack or eat well just before.

If this is the first tour you do in Anchorage it provides a good overview of the surrounding area. However if you have already done a glacier boat trip much of it will be repetitive with the exception of the rainforest walk. The conservation centre was good even though the weather was lousy. The minibus was however freezing - I was wearing five layers and was still very cold.
