Jordan our guide was so sweet, knowledgeable , patient( we were a chatty group) and enthusiastic! Food.....Blue Talon, most amazing Mac & Cheese ever! Green Leafe,great selection on flight of beer &/or cider. Justified Bakery, wonderful light and fluffy pumpkin pie/cake. Paul’s Deli & College Delly(? Right across the street) “ frathouse” food, more about the quantity than quality, it was o.k. Peanut store, everyone gets free sample so why are we paying for it on a food tour ?Tea & Spice store sample of herbs to bring home. Kilwins fudge & ice cream samples were fine but store is so busy . Wythe’s candystore - goody bag to take home, haven’t opened it yet. People were all great but the selection of restaurants/stores needs to be mixed up a bit. I just realized that may be part of the problem, I’ve never been on a food tour that included stores!

Alecia was a great tour guide for our food tour! Lots of personality and knowledge of the area. We enjoyed visiting all the different eateries and meeting with owners and employees. Only sad thing was the lack of people going on this great tour!

The young college girl who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable about the history in the area. She was very sweet and all of the group got along really well, so that made it fun. Through the tour I discovered the Merchants Square which I did not know was there, I loved that. However I signed up for a "food tour"... It was hardly that. When they say "Taste" they mean taste. We received a small slice of a not very tasty pizza, 1/4 piece of a sandwich, a small flight of 3 beers, a taste of macaroni and cheese and 1/4 of an ice cream cookie sandwich. The waitress at the Blue Talon Bistro was not very nice at all. she seemed annoyed that we were there, like we were wasting her time. We received a side order portion of macaroni and cheese to share with 4 people, a taste is all everyone received. The other stores were just stores that you could walk around and visit on your own. We received goodie bags and a coupon at two locations. The Spice & Tea Exchange store is so worth it if you enjoy tea or cooking. "Justified Bakeshop" is also worth checking out, the owner took the time to make us feel welcome, It's all homemade and fresh, husband and wife establishment. Overall, we paid $132.16 for my husband and I, we came hungry and we left hungry. It was not worth our money =(
