Wow! What a FANTASTIC experience! My friend and I took the tour with guide Briana Garza (founder), who was so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable about the restaurants, Chattanooga, and the West Village. And the food? Delicious!! Started out at the Indigo Hotel with buffalo "wing" appetizer--but the wing wasn't chicken, it was cauliflower--don't knock it til you try it, because they were sooooooo good. Paired great with a raspberry mojito. Second stop, the Old Gilman Grill.
HUGE spread of various starters, all beautifully presented and so completely delicious!! Roasted crispy Brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze, smoked salmon dip with caviar and capers, charcuterie board (sage cheese!), and mussels. I could have eaten the Brussel sprouts and salmon dip all day. When I'm in Chattanooga again, this will definitely be a place I visit!! Third stop was Alimentari Cucina e Bar
in the Westin Hotel. Shrimp and grits with champagne--good! Last stop was the Paloma Tapas Bar at the top of the Westin--amazing views and we got to sample a smoked tequila drink sort of like a smokey margarita. It was good! We were served olive oil cake (citrus-infused olive oil instead of butter used to make it). It was ok. Not my favourite. Then we checked out 2 of the West Village's artsy alleys, which was fun and a nice way to wrap up the tour. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you take this tour--it was a true highlight of our trip! If you love food, and enjoy seeing and learning about the city you are visiting (or living in!), you will love this!
