What a great experience! Our guide, Delavonnia, knows the Canyon inch by inch, having grown up in and around it. She knows and speaks expertly -- and lovingly -- about the flora and fauna, the history, the science, the geology, the lore and legend, truth and fiction of the Canyon. We saw more than we'd even hoped to -- cliff dwellings, petroglyphs, trails, some of the farms that lie on the canyon floor. She gave us time to walk, look, take photos, ask questions and give us thoughtful and detailed answers. And, wow, can she handle that Jeep in the deep sand and ruts! Sometimes it felt a bit bone-rattling but we never felt anything less than 100% safe -- even where the truck and the mystery vehicle once went into the quicksand. IMPORTANT: BRING YOUR BINOCULARS; without them you will miss some of the best views and beauty of the dwellings, trails and petroglyphs.

We'd never taken a private tour anywhere, but this one was so worth it ! Jarvin was a great guide and we learned so much from him. You can drive around the rim and see some amazing sights on your own, but by taking this tour you get on the canyon floor which is a totally different perspective. We never felt rushed from one spot to another and enjoyed meeting Jarvin's family too ! Did you know they have fruit trees growing on their land on the canyon floor? Book this tour ! You won't regret it !

Our tour was beyond our expectations today. There was a surprise around every corner. Delvonnia was our guide and was fabulous. She shared her knowledge and life experiences along with her great sense of humor. We added an extra hour to explore more and recommend you do the same.
