We got free tickets, so went along with the expectation of it being a bit of a time-waster on our last day, but it went way beyond this and was one of the most fun experiences we had in Florida. The journey by Uber was about 50-60 minutes from International Drive, and it was nice to get out of the tourist trap. We were a bit concerned that there would be nothing to do, particularly when we were told the next boat ride would be in an hour. However, there was plenty to keep us occupied, so we needn't have worried. Despite having tickets for the 30 minute tour, we weren't given the hard sell to upgrade to an hour which really impressed me. 30 minutes is enough, although if you make the effort of going, maybe consider doing 60 minutes as we wish we had longer. There was plenty to do while we waited. You can view alligators, feed them for $5, and watch a presentation by a Native American in a reconstruction of a Native American village. He went into a LOT of detail and was humorous in his delivery. The airboat tour was very fun. It felt very safe, very smooth and we got to see a lot; we went nice and fast in the open waters, ventured into some of the habitats and saw bald eagles, turtles, baby alligators and a larger alligator swimming too. I'm sure on the 60 minute tour we would have seen a lot more, but 30 minutes was time well spent. Everybody has ear defenders which you should wear at higher speeds, but can remove when going slower or are stationary so that the captain can point out what to look at. You can also take photos and are free to stand when the boat is at a standstill. This was a great experience and a nice change of pace from theme parks. I really recommend taking the time to go, doing the hour-long tour and also allowing a few hours to do the alligator viewing and the Native American presentation. There is also a restaurant and toilets there, so it is a good way to spend a morning or afternoon, and don't dismiss it as just being a time-waster because of the free tickets.

We had family visiting from Wisconsin and we were looking for something fun to do, we decided to take them for an airboat excursion. We had never gone on one ourselves. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The people that work there are very friendly and if you ask them a question they don't just answer with a yes or no they will take time to explain the answer. The airboat captain gave us a great ride, he'd find some wildlife than stop the boat and give us time to get some pictures. There is much to see and do there. We plan on coming again the next time our family comes to visit and maybe try the night excursion. I would highly recommend Boggy Creek Airboats for a fun afternoon
