I am absolutely terrified of boats and water. This was my first time to Florida and one of the things on my list of MUST DO items was an airboat tour. I decided on this one because they not only had an airboat tour but also a Native American village and a BBQ restaurant.
From what I read on their site, you see more wildlife early so I booked a 60 minute tour first thing in the morning. I was sick to my stomach just thinking about stepping onto the boat. When the time came, I stepped onto the boat, expecting it to rock like most small boats, it didn't. Wow! I'm already feeling better about this. Then listening to the captain, hearing how experienced he was, I was able to settle in and try to enjoy the ride.
There was a group of six of us on the boat. We saw several alligators, a bald eagle, lots of birds, and even a cow! The captain was amazing, he handled the boat so smoothly I forgot about being scared and busied myself taking pictures of all the sights.
After the ride I had lunch at the restaurant onsite. It was good food at a decent price. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Then off to the Native American village where we got to hear stories and see how the native americans lived in the area. Very interesting and informative.
