Curious about Portland's history with railroads, fires, wars, famous poets and Hollywood producers? Join us for a Walk Through Time! This tour begins on Commercial Street and continues for 2 hours through the historic Old Port, downtown and waterfront areas, sharing highlights of Portland's history since 1632.

Some of the locations we may feature on your tour include; the lobster statue, the home of Henry Wadsworth-Longfellow and his place of worship, the Eastern Cemetery, the Abyssinian Church, the U.S. Customs House and more.

***Tour duration is two "ish" hours, based on guest engagement and pace of the group. Planning on 2.5 hours for arriving early to check-in and make it back to your vehicle post tour is recommended.

When you sign up for this tour, be sure to ask for Ross to be your guide. He might know more about Portland than any other citizen. He might even get you into the gorgeous Customs House. And he's very entertaining!

Tyler is an excellent tour guide with a wealth of knowledge about Portland's Old Port. My husband and I were very intrigued when hearing about the infrastructure beginnings of Portland as a seaport, the town's role in the Revolutionary War era and the underground railroad. Some very influential people have made Portland their home (e.g., Henry Wadsworth Longfellow). We highly recommend the history tour as a starting point to your time in Portland!!

We had our History Tour scheduled before we moved on to our next stop. It was a perfect tour. Taylor is the man. Great personality, well read, and a very engaging. A must do
