My family attended the Royal Kona luau last night and had a great time at this family event. Food was delicious and allowed us to sample a variety of local foods. The staff was helpful and the dancers amazing. Would definitely recommend it.

This was the worse! My daughters & I went November 5th. Resort was afraid of rain so put it indoors. It was like being put in a cafeteria. Did not rain!!!! I felt bad for the dancers. They were good. Food ok. Drinks awful & bartered also. No last call before he closed up. Don't waste your money or time. We left before it was over. Our family have been to about 3 Luau's on different Islands. All have been wonderful, but this one.

Our second time for this luau at Royal Kona. It is a beautiful setting facing a gorgeous sunset. The drinks were super weak. Even with “extra” rum. The bartender was rude telling my husband to tip if he wanted a stronger drink. We had already tipped. The buffet food was good, plentiful and well organized. Desserts unimpressive. The music and dancing was excellent but the show was somewhat short. It did rain a bit as the show was starting. Staff handed out the little ponchos in a packet. The rain stopped by the time folks got them on. The fire dancer was amazing. Go and enjoy but don’t expect gourmet dining or much booze. Pre dinner activities for kids and unearthing the cooked pig are fun.
