Both the show and the food were fabulous. I wish we were seated a little closer to the stage, but could still see OK. We liked the variety of the entertainment. Plenty of food and drink. Table waiter was fabulous...worked so hard the whole evening.

Don’t recommend. Overpriced Buffett. Hotel just packs its courtyard with folding tables and chairs and calls it a Luau. Visibility of the small stage is poor. Food was not good. I give the performers some credit for trying but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Too many other fun things to do on the Big Island.

I almost walked out after an hour, then I thought I wait for the show (which hasn’t happened yet) - the place is understaffed, one poor guy is running around trying to get drink orders, but apparently he cannot keep up and forgets what to bring where. Sometimes we see him pouring drinks into the bushes while cursing. - the food is awful and the plates have some fatty residue. At the end we did not eat anything - the manager said they could not find people for the staff - which i understand. But then i would rather visit an event with lower guest number the staff can handle - and that is another con: for me it is too busy - even if we paid for a vip table I don’t really understand the good reviews and I went through on it that maybe i am too picky or have high expectations, but not: i paid $800 for 5 person, I don’t want middle school cafeteria level food and service. We went to a similar event last year on maui, that was great with excellent food and service (cannot recall the price) This team definitely needs to adjust something. Until that doesn’t happen, I don’t recommend to visit this event
