You will arrive are out Canon City location, check in with our friendly reservation staff, meet your guide for the day, be outfitted with necessary rafting gear, go through an in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a short 5-10 min ride to the river put in

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Once you arrive at the river you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then hit the river for an amazing adventure. You will float through the world famous Royal Gorge! Amazing views of the America's tallest suspension bridge sitting 1,000 ft above the river and experience amazing whitewater on this trip. This is the premiere trip on the Arkansas River!

We signed up for the Royal Gorge trip and couldn't go because of high water. While I understand the safety concerns we should have been told in advance that trip was not available. We spent 4 hours on the river doing Bighorn Sheep canyon and was very boring. If they would have called or emailed to let us know we could have rescheduled for a later date. It just was not worth $150.00 bucks to get wet.

Hi, I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience with us. Safety is our number one concern and when the Park Service declares a High Water Advisory and recommends no one to float the Royal Gorge we follow that recommendation. At higher flows the lower Bighorn Sheep Canyon does turn into class IV-V rapids so that is where we run our advanced trip at those flows. Hearing that the trip was boring means to me that my guides did a great job and made the trip look easy and kept you safe in the high water. I hope you will give us a second chance and come back once the water flows reside.

My partner and 21 year old son took our first ever rafting trip with ART. The staff was friendly and helpful and suggested tours suited to our ability so we could have the best experience. We had a blast, despite being first timers because Kyle gave us clear instruction and has the skills to craftily maneuver us down the river. He also made sure we got to paddle hard at times, get splashed and tossed around, but kept us safe so a great time was had by all. Can't go wrong with ART.

The weather was cold and raining but the rafting was awesome! The staff was nice and met all of our needs. Our guide, Mike, was knowledgeable and made us feel safe in this advanced whitewater. He had interesting facts about the canyon and it was much more than just a float down the river. I recommend using ART for anyone wanting to have a great time rafting down the Arkansas River. -Rob from Wisconsin
