Jim was our guide, very friendly and outgoing, and you could tell he had developed very respectful and trusting relationships with the Amish, which ensured great experiences getting to meet them. The young couple at the dairy farm, were friendly, and very thorough. Next stop was to a shop that made furniture, and I enjoyed the exchange with him. Very knowledgeable about his craft and takes a lot of pride in his work. We visited an older Amish in their home and sat and talked with them for an hour. Very sweet couple and asked about us as much as we asked about them. The others on the tour were also just as nice. a pleasant experience for my 8 yr old grandson too!

The experience was very interesting. Joe is an exceptional tour guide. He gets the the voice of the visitors. Joe is very knowledgeable and informative .He has an excellent relationship with the Amish community and really cares about covering all the questions and curiosity of the tourists . The tour is very personalized. if you are looking for an interactive approach to the Amish community, this is a good choice. The tour last about 3 hours . I just would like to save more time for the last visit, which is in a Amish house. Just to talk more about their life in a philosophical way. By the time you get there you already were in a dairy farm and in a nursery. The Amish way to handle business is understood by then, therefore their familiar Amish life and religion is the interesting part that you maybe haven't talked about enough. Actually you might have more questions about them by the last part of the tour than you had at the beginning. Once again Joe will make sure you understand the Amish county very well in case some questions were not answered yet.

Thank you so much for the great review. We work with over 30 different Amish households, so it is a different "line up" of stops practically every day of the week.

Beth was our guide. It was wonderful. We never felt rushed at any of the sites we visited, and she very confidently, and knowledgeably shared a view of Amish life with us. She answered our questions clearly and with detail. It is at the top of our best list for guided tours...and we've been on tours in Europe, Africa, and the Far East.
