We did the Amish Experience VIP tour which is 3 hours long. We had Jay as our tour guide. This was an absolutely awesome tour. We went to visit 3 different Amish families. The first one we went to was an Amish dairy farm. We got to see how the cows are milked and the milking process, saw the cows (very smelly) and horses, fed a baby calf that was born that day, see the garden of the family, saw the buggies, and met family members. We then got back on the bus and went to a leather shop where they make gear for the horses. We met many family members here as well as looking at the way things are made and some of the equipment they use. After this visit we went back on the bus and went to visit an Amish couple. They showed us their home and we sat and visited with them for a while. We asked many questions and learned a lot about their family and way of life. After that we went on the bus and headed back to the Amishview Hotel. Every family that we visited were so kind and welcoming. We went on the tour during the pandemic and the tour guide made sure we were safe and the bus was very clean. My only suggestion would be to bring a water with you in case you get thirsty. We were told the tours go to different places so you may go to different homes but we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and will definitely be going again.
